During a reading, a fake medium suffers a life-changing near-death experience that could change the course of his career.
Cast
CONNOR O’NEIL: (late 20’s early 30’s) a lanky conman who poses as a medium to scam wealthy elderly people. He is a master in the art of bullshitting. He prides himself on his ability to talk himself out of any problem. A malicious charmer.
ESTHER SMITH (80’s to ’90s) a classic sweet grandma whose mind is just starting to slow down. She had a wild (and promiscuous) youth and she misses her late husband Richard.
LINDSEY SMITH (mid 20’s) a new age astrology girl who’s obsessed with crystals, auroras, and star signs. She’s technologically savvy and fiercely protective of her grandmother Ester. She sees right through Connor’s scam.
RICHARD SMITH (40’s) Ester’s late husband, and soulmate. He’s a macho military man who acts like a classic, no-nonsense, tough-talking fifties, man. He cares deeply about Ester and doesn’t appreciate a scammer like Connor taking advantage of her.
Locations
INT. ESHTER’S HOUSE, an upper-middle-class home tastefully decorated, with a shrine to her fallen husband.
