My name is Erin Simmons, and I am a double major in psychology and IES. I am graduating in May of 2025 and will be attending UCLA for a Masters in Social Work. I plan to begin my career as a school social worker and focus on increasing student access to college and other desired career options. Through community, family, and academic based barrier removal and one-on-one support, I intend to support students in making informed decisions about life after high school. Ideally my role will be a hands-on liaison between major areas of student experience with the purpose of addressing social, psychological, and academic needs. My overarching goal is to pursue a doctoral degree where I will dedicate my career to research and policy interventions related to the most vital gaps facing Black student success.
