Michael Wong, B.F.A. 2015

Michael has loved writing ever since his 3rd-grade teacher pridefully read aloud his personal narrative to his classmates. Now, he uses writing to seek out unique storytelling opportunities that help immerse readers in new worlds. For years, he’s enjoyed a busy career designing digital marketing campaigns and copywriting for businesses like REI, Amazon, and Microsoft. Today, he is the founder of Peeka VR, a mobile platform where picture books come to life in virtual reality.

Danielle is an essayist and poet as well as a professor of rhetoric & composition at Chapman University with a focus on queer and disability studies. She is the author of a full-length poetry book and a chapbook. Her work has been published by MTV, Maudlin House, Crab Fat Magazine, Hobart etc. and is forthcoming in Split Lip.

Makenzie De Armas, B.F.A. 2020

Makenzie is a professional independent writer and game designer for Dungeons & Dragons. Her credits include lead writer for The Islands of Sina Una, co-designer for MCDM Productions’ Kingdoms & Warfare, and guest author on D&D Beyond. Makenzie has also appeared on various game designer panels and actual play content across the Internet, and in July 2020, her short work “Knarl’s Candy Compendium” won the Judges’ Spotlight at the ENnie Awards for tabletop game design. The full breadth of her work—along with her other various ramblings into the void—can be found on Twitter at @MakenzieLaneDA.
