The event, attended by Chapman students, Ferrucci Institute Fellows, and members of the community, provided an opportunity to discuss the cultural significance and genesis of memorialized Italian figures. The event began with a talk by Dr. Pacchioni examining the process through which the filmmaker Federico Fellini crafted a mythical, yet self-ironic, artist persona through the unique style of his cinema, autobiographical references, and by tackling issues of national identity.
