My name is Rejoice, and I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the ESSDS Lab. I come from India, where I worked as a Software Engineer at Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. for five years before flying (with help, of course) across two oceans in pursuit of graduate education. I subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in Computational and Data Sciences from Chapman University. My dissertation research contributed to advancing several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using a fusion of remote sensing and machine learning. Key topics included satellite interferometry, hydrological variables analysis, and marine litter detection. I would love to expand my research into areas like wind data analysis and artificial intelligence in interferometry. When I’m not chugging along in the lab, you can find me playing soccer, chess, trying different cuisines, hiking, cooking, learning Spanish, watching movies and TV shows, and reading fiction. Different cultures, places, and people fascinate me!
