BIO

Ariel N. Banayan is currently enrolled in the dual degree program (MA/MFA) at Chapman University. His scholarship focuses on the role of play in narrative. Loosely inspired by the narrative of play from the video game medium, Ariel is currently engaging with play within Modernist works of literature, such as James Joyce’s Ulysses (which just so happens to be his favorite book). In his free time, he enjoys playing classical piano, writing fiction, jogging, and staring at the words found inside books.

You can find his most recent writing on the Los Angeles Review of Books and the Anastamos online journal.
