Italian Studies minor Marco Saglimbeni is awarded 2014 Casola Prize

Marco Saglimbeni from San Jose, Calif., has been awarded the 2014 Casola Prize from the Patrons of Italian Culture. Saglimbeni is a University Honors Program student pursuing a degree in biological sciences with a minor in Italian studies. He hopes to attend medical school in the future. A dedicated Chapman soccer player of Italian descent, he also plans to study abroad in Italy.

The Casola Prize is a prestigiuos scholarship that supports the study of the Italian language and culture at the university level. The Patrons of Italian Culture is a nonprofit California Corporation that sponsors extensive programs and activities emphasizing the many aspects of Italian culture and heritage.
